Bio:

Darryl is a strategic thought leader with a proven track record for developing strategies and nurturing the relationships required to deliver operational excellence performance in the energy industry. Guided by a deep knowledge of risk management best practices, he is an expert systems thinker with 25 years experience leading the design & implementation of simple and practical systems, processes, and tools for managing regulatory compliance and health, safety and environment (HSE) risks. This resulted in his asset winning the Gold Award as Canada’s Safest Employer in the Oil and Gas Industry and significant reductions in the timelines to acquire complex regulatory approvals.

Darryl has held critical roles leading transformational changes at both the field and corporate levels and has 15+ years leading the HSE and Regulatory functions for numerous major projects in Oil Sands, Renewables and offshore Canada.

He holds a Masters Degree in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School.
